Best Multiplayer Games You Can Play On Mobile Or Tablet

A straight-up list of mobile multiplayer games that can be played on Android, iPhone and tablet. Many are also available on desktop PC.

1. PUBG Mobile

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the most popular titles on PC, it is the one that started the trend of the Battle Royale in video games. The Chinese publisher Tencent created a free, mobile version after buying shares in the developer of the original game, Bluehole. This version is now just as popular as its PC counterpart. It allows you, like the original game, to create a team of four players to try to win your chicken dinner.

2. Fortnite Battle Royale

The Royal Battle competition wouldn’t be complete without Fortnite, PUBG’s biggest competitor on PC, which is also available on mobile now… This is the complete game and not a silly mobile adaptation, which offers a little peculiarity: you can play with your friends on PC, consoles and even iOS without the slightest worry. For PUBG, you can only play with the mobile version. The real problem with the title is that it is not available on the Play Store and is not compatible with all smartphones: find our tutorial to download and install it easily.

3. Clash Royale

In just two weeks, Clash Royale had reached the number one spot for best mobile downloads when it was released. Supercell, already the developer of the ultra-popular Clash of Clans, has successfully blended different types of games such as tower defense and CGC. The concept of the game lies in the real-time battle with other players to defeat their stronghold.

4. AdventureQuest 3D

AdventureQuest 3D is a free MMORPG available on smartphone and PC. But beware, no Pay to Win here, in-app purchases are only for Fortnite-style aesthetic elements. The game is totally cross-platform, you can start a game on your PC and continue it on your smartphone. Many quests, dungeons, bosses, classes, etc. are available to go fight monsters with your friends.

5. Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go is no longer to be presented. After a first year with a rather closed gameplay about the player himself and his accomplishment in the arena, with cooperation finally being asynchronous, it’s now possible for players to trade Pokémon and even fight each other! All the more reason to recommend the title of Niantic Labs, which has quickly become a social phenomenon more than just a mobile game in augmented reality.

6. Vainglory

Vainglory is a MOBA (two teams of 5 people compete against each other to destroy the crystal protected by the other team) which offers various game modes allowing to compete in 5v5, 3v3 to play a classic game or an intense game (with a 5 minutes stopwatch). You can choose between 48 heroes and the games are all different to offer you a game experience far from redundant!

7. Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft

Blizzard’s Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft is the benchmark for mobile card games. Based on the gameplay of Magic The Gathering, it makes it much more accessible by simplifying the rules. You choose from nine characters that correspond to the Warcraft classes. Build your deck and then head into the Arena to challenge other players in this great game!

8. Asphalt 9

There’s a plethora of mobile car games. But a good game that is realistic, fun and competitive is already much rarer. Gameloft’s Asphalt series combines these ingredients. Stunts, good sound and dreamlike settings are on the agenda. You can play up to eight drivers in asynchronous races and try to get the highest score. After a critically acclaimed Episode 8 for many years, Asphalt 9: Legends is finally available!

9. Modern Combat 5

Modern Combat is a historic license from Gameloft. It is a first-person shooter (FPS) action game where you play as a soldier. The mechanics are similar to those of Battlefield and Call of Duty and even if some fans of the genre will be offended to find an FPS on a smartphone, it must be said that the game is well optimized. The content is generous and the execution impeccable. The multiplayer of the fifth opus has several modes and includes voice chat. Modern Combat Versus will be released in 2017 and will be exclusively multiplayer.

10. BombSquad

A good multiplayer game is also a game that will make you hate your friends. This is the case with BombSquad, a title that offers a multitude of game modes, with games for up to eight players. The goal? Eliminate your opponents with bombs, sending them waltzing off the field, or simply fighting hand-to-hand. You can also try your hand at the football game, being careful to avoid the bombs of your enemies!

11. Worms 4

Who’s never played Worms in their life? Simple, but effective! We all remember our games of bazooka, holy pomegranate, meteor, or even… sheep… to get rid of those little worms. Team 17 released Worms 4 back in 2016 on the Play Store, although it’s a few years old, it’s still a must-have. The title offers online multiplayer experiences to play with friends or compete against players from all over the world.
